When I try to play a game such as text twist it locks up my computer. What do I need to do?

How much RAM do you have. RAM is not speed or your hard drive memory. It is Ramdom Access Memory. So check the system specs and see if you have at least 1024 of sdram (or other types ) of memory. If not you need to goet more and it is vey easy to install or have installed and it doesnt cost too much. If you have enough then fine, but you may need to check and see what other programs are running and put them on pause or stop them completely while you play thos other games. You may also have a rather old computer that is just out of date and it may be time to upgrade. This is where Santa may be of help or Besy Buy/Circuit City.
